No transforms were harmed in the making of this fractal...
edit: slight update.. a bit more postwork on the borders and I have also brightened the central 'head' area to give a bit more focus to the overall image.
Tales from the Trip by ~subcarrier is a nifty piece with some old school apophysis flair and some definite "artistic nouveu swoopiness"! Great style, texture, and color all add to what seems like to me a celestial feeling. (
I have joined DA as an artist but primarily because I saw this piece of work and fell in love with it. Tales From The Trip speaks a language I have experienced first hand and which I have recently been trying to express in oils and in sketched studies long before canvas. The fact that it is carved with math; comprised of fractals, the vernacular of space and time, makes it all the more beautiful. You need to get this reproduced in the finest print you can find, like hexachrome, as I for one, would love to have this on my wall.
I really love the symmetry you have going on. I think it might of had a bit more punch if the canvas and image was larger horizontally to really lead your eye on and off the page, but it still works as is.
