Daily DeviationFrom a compositional aspect, Decay by ~subcarrier really wins. The flow of the fractal catches my eye very nicely, and there are tons of elements in here to make it ever-so-tasty. Gotta love the combination of beautiful Apophysis fractal work and well-chosen textures! (Suggested by `Nestalgica and Featured by `lyastri)

The fun thing about me is that I really DO think about consequences, but then I completely ignore and disregard them and get on with what I was doing.

Thanks folks! So many Apophysis flames are left raw.. it was really fun to make this one with the texture so think I'll do more postworking in the future :o)
I love it, but I do have one major question, what is a fractal? and how do you do it?

I guess you'll have to do a search for the exact definition of a fractal. But roughly speaking it is a pattern which uses repetition and is self similar. The fractal element of this one was done using an open source program called Apophysis which allows you to generate images using an IFS (iterated function system). Lots of people on here seem to use it and also another app calle UltraFractal.. Download them and have a go!
Stunning piece! I spent a while simply admiring it. :)
Nicely abstract blend of fractal and texture
